Is the concept of a personal purpose a reasonable expectation in the 21st Century? It's a romantic notion that each of us has some sort of path to a manifest destiny.

When we have stumbled it is because we have been willing to risk a mistake. Stepping into an unknown, often without proper preparation or expected training, is no small act of courage. People who have stumbled have first been people of courage. That's why I like people who have stumbled.

Good sailors know how to tack their way across water. The zig-zag costs time but it is an effective tool for the skilled navigator.

We will seek out paths of greatest resistance for the challenge, and to prove we can conquer what could end us.
